The most expensive purse in the world, made by the House of Mouawad, was unveiled at the Dubai Mall. The heart-shaped purse is encrusted with more than 4,517 diamonds and includes 105 yellow and 56 pink ones.

Called the 1001 Nights diamond purse, this one-of-a-kind handbag is made from 18 carat gold. At least 10 artisans worked for four months to make the bag. According to Pascal Mouawad, co-guardian of the House of Mouawad, the Dubai-based designer house, the purse was meant to mesmerise with its many diamonds.

The design house, which has been around since 1890, has made several diamond-encrusted bras previously. The purse is the most expensive in the world is worth $3.8 million and weighs about 381.92 carats.
