Diamond Trends 2020
Ring in the new year! We just started 2020 and a lot has been going on, also in the world of diamonds. And with a new year, comes new trends. If you are planning on getting engaged, there is a lot to look forward to already! But you don’t have to be on your way to the altar to shop for beautiful diamonds. To make the choice a bit easier, we have gathered our favorite diamond trends of 2020; suitable for any occasion.
Salt and Pepper
As they say, better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without. Even though inclusions are normally a no-go, Salt and Pepper diamonds are the exception. These diamonds contain black and white inclusions, which give the stone a silky grey and speckled look. But no two Salt and Pepper diamonds are the same. One could be almost white with few speckles, whereas the other is dark and marbled. This allows for a unique look.
Less is more
A trend that we expect to last the decade: minimalism. There is beauty in simplicity, and in the world of diamonds, this means clean cuts and graceful lines. Fuss-free rings that make sure all the attention goes to the diamond itself. A beautiful example is the Minimalist with a Twist Diamond Ring. This ring gives the optimal sparkle, featuring a Royal 201 diamond with four prongs. But it’s the clean and elegant lines of the bypass setting that makes it stand out.
If you don’t believe in the motto less is more, good news: there’s also a trend for you this year. Stackable rings. We have seen it the more traditional way, where a wedding band is added to an engagement ring. But the beauty of this trend is that it’s totally customizable. There are no rules! You can add as many bands as you like. Let them represent different milestones in life, for example.
Looking for something out of the box? Then this is the trend that suits you. Where they were once thought of as an avant-garde choice, they are now trendier than ever. Colored diamonds are a fun and special alternative to the classic clear diamond. Also, there is a wide range to choose from. From the beautiful rich and deep green of the emerald, to rebellious black diamonds. There is one made in every color of the rainbow!
Just because something is a trend, it doesn’t necessarily mean it fits you. Your diamond jewelry should be a representation of your personality and style. Luckily at Royal Customer Diamonds, we can create your own designed ring. From custom wedding rings, to class rings; there are no limits! It starts with a sketch or a photo of elements you would like to incorporate in the ring. The rest is on us.
